Ok So we were talking with the kids to find out that their movie culture is pretty lame (thanks Disney Channel)...

We talked about some classics like Lethal Weapons and made them see that last year...
But I know that there are plenty of Classics from the late 80's /90's that they should watch...

So my question is what is the absolute movie list everybody should see at least once....

Would be cool to copy past the list when you answeer and add your entries... so we don;t have to scroll back and forth...

Movies that have to be seen...
Lethal Weapons serie
Dirty dancing,
Rambo serie
...

You might want to add lots of stuff by Clint Eastwood

His spaghetti westerns (many westerns that were popular were Italian.)
The Dirty Harry series
Star Wars
Star Trek series, movies as well as TV
Rocky series
Braveheart
Death Wish series

You know, for the family, the A team is not bad, lots of action, very little blood, no swearing.

I found parts of it unbelievable, but for kids it should be OK.

Remember that I saw my first set of, um, healthy lungs, on the silver screen, in the first Dirty Harry.

Oh but the A team is good if we talk about the serie.... the recent movie was OK and we watched it with the kids already.... i liked it

Speaking of series, I definitely have to find some MacGuyvers ;)

I also thought the Adams Family was entertaining, and also all the Back to the Future movies.

plenty of good suggestions there...

Joe Dirt is a family favorite....

What amaze me is that most of the movies you consider classics... or to be seen are actually the ones that I have seen when in France.... I guess I should just stick to these ones that I know lol

How about the Herbie movies. That little VW Beetle with a mind of its own, as a kid I loved those movies.

Also the Indiana Jones movies. I still like them.

American Treasure would be good. It teaches a little bit about history, too.

I'd have to say my fav's as a kid were the Smokey and the Bandit movies(not so much part3) and the Cannonball Run movies. I was a car nut as a kid too.
