So this would be an example of the wrong grade bolt used? :smiley-laughing021:

Yes kids, don't try this at home, or anywhere else. Is there a proper way to use two straps like this?

that looks like it would tend to be a self correcting error in thinking, best case.

I probably can't describe it here but I would thread each strap through the oposite straps eye.

and I have to admit I am still not sure what is wrong with that way of doing it..... however since I know it is a wrong way I should think about it for a while and maybe find out why

use a stick in the eyes of the strops ,,more a branch ....rolled up magazine would work as well..............don't know if i would be keen on a shackle ...still a good missile if strop snapped...and they do snap .........

slipage? slinging a double hook from a sling shot could be interesting to watch from long distance.

a nice 30 ton shackle would be best as long as you also have saftey blankets on each strap to deaden the rebound and the bolt is saftey wired.

A better way is to thread the straps through the eyes of each other and eliminate the heavy metal in between in case one end lets loose. That way there is no heavy flying objects.

And to top it all off, its a winch on the front of it. I mean who would you blame? Driver, the "helping" group? Both? I say the whole group. It doesn't show one person suggest using the winch. :headshake:
