Wow, thanks for the great welcome guys. I found yall through a link posted at Cherokee Forum in the South Central section. I've been a forum member over there for about a year and a half. So what's the deal here? Is this mainly a southern area XJ forum, if so, that'd be awesome...

Nope, sorry, world wide. We have members in Mongolia, England, Holland, New Zealand (A moderator lives there), Japan (he only speaks Japanese) and of course members all over the United States.

We do have a pretty thick pocket in California and Texas.

The deal is here that no one is going to tell you to search when you ask a question. Other than good natured ribbing (for her pleasure) no one is going to demean or belittle you. Other than that it's pretty wide open.

Cool, yea Ive been browsing the site and it seems quite refreshing than others that I've been to.

Well let me share some about my Jeepin habits and myself. I have lived in Houston all 26 years of my life. I got my first xj back in the summer of 08. It was a 2000 with about 130k but the underside was quite rusty (it was in Wisconsin for 8 years). This is at Big Bend National Park.

About 4 months ago, a girl ran a stop sign and pretty much ruined it.

It all worked out cause I ended up buying another XJ with the insurance money (one that wasn't rusty) and started to build it up. So here is my current heep when I got it

It's a 96 with about 190k, but my favorite part is that this one is a 5sp. I love driving stick. It needed tons of work. Power steering leaks, brakes barely works, gas tank leaks, half the gauges don't work... etc. But I love working on things, especially vehicles, and especially when they aren't rusty. This is how she sat last night.

and this is her next to my roomate's YJ

I'm on 32" BFG ATs and at 4" lift in the front using a 3" coil and 1" spacer and about 4.5" in the back using some shackle relocation brackets, longer shackles, and a bastard pack made from two XJ packs. I've fixed the brake problem and the power steering problem. I've swapped in my C8.25 rear axle which has 3.55 gearing (up from the stock 3.05) and I need a matching D30 for the front so I can get my 4x4 back. I'm wanting to go to Moab this summer so she still has tons of work ahead.

You know, I think quadratec sells it. It comes in about 20 different boxes and they send them to you random times throughout an entire year but you dont know exactly when. Slowly but surely your heep gets taller. Wait, that's just how I do it, nevermind.

I would love to. I've never been to Creekside before. I just need a Dana 30. You know anyone that has a high pinion Dana 30 with 3.55 gearing? Also, where is creekside? I used to live up in Spring, TX... is it near there?

I tried looking that Frank guy up once. They told me he moved with no forwarding address. Guess you got lucky :D
