Tural that rim is way cool lookin. I think foose and boyd are the only ones doin billet down here anymore. A friend was a progammer for a harley billet rim company and he's been out of that line of work for 8 years now because they have outsourced the whole operation. Also I was sent a email of tubeless tires and the tire on the rim looked like your's but it had plastic rims with flex sections for give. You have probably seen it already if not I'll post it.

Paddletrucker

Trucking runs in my family. I'm a fourth generation owner/operator. My great grandfather started hauling freight before there were trucks. I remember my great grandfather talking about the first truck he ever got in the late 20's. He was born in 1903 and died when I was 16. He started hauling grain and building supplies using a six up team of mules that pulled two wagons. My grandfather owned trucks his whole life, and my dad has, too. Now, me. I grew up in a truck. I started driving semi's when I was 14 on the farm and was driving them on the back roads to the barge ports when I was 16. That's legal here, as long as it's farm use. I got a CDL at 18, but couldn't leave the state (or I wasn't supposed to, at least;)). I've driven my whole life, pretty much, and will until I eventually do go blind.

My first career choice, however, was flying. I'd rather fly than eat. I wanted to fly crop dusters, fly freight, basically anything I could do in a little airplane. I went all the way through college working my way toward a flying career, but decided to go blind and screw it all up. LOL I finally did get my medical back after it was revoked, but it was the lowest class of medical certificate allowed to fly. I found a doctor who made some contacts that are especially designed for my degenerative eye disease. Even though I have 20/20 and 20/15 vision while wearing them, the FAA says I cannot fly commercially. I had to go through hell to even get a class III medical. At least I get to fly as a really over educated and overtrained private pilot. LOL

Don't ever go in for a flight physical and be denied. That's bureaucracy at work for you. I can see perfectly, but am not allowed to fly for a living. I can drive a tractor/trailer at 75 mph next to a family in a mini van in Los Angelos rush hour traffic, but I cannot fly a plane where everybody is spaced out miles apart and announces their intentions before they do anything.

Oh, well. Trucking has been very good to me and I do have a lot of fun doing it.:D

LOL I'm a photographer. I get to take pictures of cars all day and I get to drive them. I have 2 BMW dealerships, a Mini Cooper, and a Mercedes store that I visit every day. Mercedes is the store that gets all the super high-line cars in: Maserati, Bentley, Ferrari, etc.

I uploaded a few to photobucket to that you could see more examples... keep in mind, all these photos were taken with a crappy cell phone camera, not my Nikon!

That's pretty cool I toured a place in pa on the susquehanna river that was hydro electric generation plant and it was pretty cool we actually saw down where the turbines were, man that was a violent churning water. I'm always interested in electricity generation there is a large market for it in pa we have 3 huge factorys that make the gigantic turbines and equipment all of which I've been too its impressive!

It REALLY pisses me off what our government has done to our space program since Apollo. :bang:

Me too!! Since the last shuttle flight, these buildings have become ghost towns. We are mothballing floors at a time. I just got an email this morning that we are closing down two more floors in the next month.

The U.S Government has no vision as far as Space Exploration is concerned. Our esteemed leader says "... put a man on an Asteroid"..... really???? We should be going back to the moon to explore and harvest the huge potential for alternate energy.

Ok - off soap box now!

I don't know why people don't get it. The entire reason we are where we are now with technology is because of U.S. government's R&D. Computers are a direct result of the CRAP they had on the lunar lander. We're all happy with the technology we have right now, but it's going to get pretty stale unless we start spending money on R&D.

We should have a space station, a moon base, and already visited Mars by now. A friend of my Mom's husband worked at Nasa. He was working on a space station, which I believe turned out to be SkyLab. He was also a HAM and that was my first look into HAM radio.

All true!! One time I was asked why we spend so much money just to keep circling the earth. I responded, "Do you have a microwave oven? or GPS in your car, or a cell phone?" Those are just a few examples that are direct descendents from space travel technology.

That is cool about HAM !! I remember as a kid, my Dad was an engineer for the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. A friend of his brought over a HAM radio so that we could talk to the Gemini Astronauts that were in space at the time. That was a huge thrill for me!

I can only imagine how cool that would have been to talk on the radio with with those guys.
