Ok everyone.....I need some help. I'm not sure if this should be in the OEM section or the Modified section. Please excuse my ignorance. I work with a guy that used to have a '97 Wrangler. He doesn't have it anymore but he said he had a box with brand new parts that I could have. In the box there is track bar, box that has 2 Moog tie rod ends, another part that looks like a tie rod end but has a ball-like joint in it, and 2 different types of Moog ball joints (there are part numbers on these and looked them up). I can provide part numbers if I need to, but can anyone help me with whether these will fit on my XJ and if I should even bother? Thanks!!

The answers to this should be interesting. You may have some luck.

Yeah post up the part numbers when you get a chance. But all tie rod ends, ball joints, and steering hardware from a TJ will work on a XJ. I will have to do some research on the track bar to see if it will fit.

TAKE THEM!! Even if they don't fit yours you could re-sell them to fund some other mod.

Okay, if the track bar is for the front of the TJ, it will also be the same as the one in your XJ

Ok here are the part numbers I have:
Ball joint K7208T
Ball joint K3161T (I have 2 of both of them. Do I need 2 of both?)
Tie rod end ES3094L (2 of these)
Tie rod end ES3095R
And a track bar with no numbers.

K7208T are Upper ball joints for a D30, but are not standard replacement ones, they are adjustable
K3161T are D30 lower ball joints
ES33094L-Outer Tie Rod End - Driver Side - 4.0L
ES3095R-Tie Rod End At Passenger Side Connecting Tie Rod - 4.0L
Track bar is same as XJ if its for the front.

Thanks for the question, it made for some fun research

Thanks guys!! So stupid question but these would be upgrades to all the stock parts I have? I have no idea how to even go about changing these out.

K7208T - Upper Ball Joint - You have 2 of them on your XJ
K3161T - Lower Ball Joint - You have 2 of them on you XJ

ES3094L & ES3095R Will both fit your XJ as well as the above Ball Joints.. according to AutoZone.. So I would def. go for them all... as well as the track bar.. is it an adj. trac bar or just an old stock trac bar?? Either way I would go for getting all of the parts.. as all the parts will work with your XJ..

Here (http://www.xjtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5901) is a thread Tony posted recently for the replacement of your ball joints.. I would recommend replacing both upper and lower on both sides if you can.. especially if they need to be done... is there anything missing... as far as??

The track bar is not adjustable. Given this list of parts is there anything I'm missing? Not bad for free though huh?

Parts missing... I know a new tie rod would be great.... But to put these parts on is there anything else I need?

Assuming they both the TJ and XJ have the same lift.
