aux or secondary fan on no h.o 4.o's

ok so i have a problem..my secondary fan doesnt kick on when its sposed to,the fan does work cuase i stuck a paper clip into the female end that goes to computer,maybe a relay switch?? any help on this would be freaking epic...

p.s got the overheating problem fixxed just put a high proformance radiator in it :)

Check to see if the relay is working and also if the relay is being signaled from the ECM

The auxiliary fan is also triggered when the A/C is turned on. Try running the A/C, see if it comes on that way. If you have A/C.

if you were wondering the relay is on the driver side fender just next to the EGR solenoid
Now testing it.... the only way I know off is to replace it with one that you know is working.... I still don;t understand how to test (if even possible) a relay with a multimeter

love you all jioning was the best chioce ever..anyway break up is on its way and that means snow is starting to melt :) ...and run my a/c in alaska? lol ill pass till summer hahaha

if you check the relay and it is good then it may be the fan motor, to test that, use jumper wires in the plug end to run to the battery to see if the motor is good. BTW running the aircon just long enough for the compressor to kick in will tell you if the fan is working properly.

so that sensor is what controls the fan?? i thot there was a plug with a pigtail that was on the left low part of the rad?? and i dont have the plug on my stat housing lizard

They will be different places and functions too...
