WTF behind this?

Hey guys I was taking my panel off to put my radio in and pull out the factory one and I noticed this plug of wires and I was like, Now what the hell is this for?
So I took some photos and see if any of you guy have sumin like this...

I would say it is for some accesories you dont have. Most vehicles come pre-wired for most optional equipment. Judging from you gauge cluster, that one doesn't seem to have alot of optional equipment.

I know, My brother bought this jeep brand new off the lot and he wanted just basic... but I like to know what goes in that slot... wire are hooked to the fuse box but what could go in that spot? if its anything I could use I'd like to hook it up and for the cluster I'd like to get the full gauge set up but I think I have to hook up the sensors for that too... who the hell knows...

Yep, thats probably for some option that you don't have. It that location, I've got my rear defrost. No fog lights on mine. For the spare location, I put my locker switch there. Used a stock switch so it doesn't look out of place. :D

My opinion too. Judging by the position and the two plug styles, fog lights for sure and rear wiper if you don't have one. Rear defrost too.

You win thats what there for. I know this because I have a fog light and defrost switch there. I don't have fog lights so I took out that switch and put the switch for my locker there.

So the other must be for the fog switch...
well At least I have a place to put stuff and the wires are already ran...:D

If you don't have AC, you will have all the wiring harness for that too. They just make one harness and then add accessories as the build sheet comes through.

Yeah I looked at mine as well its the where the Rear Defrost switch is supposed to be.

I've turned on the comfort/power button and I didnt notice anything... what does it really do?

It changes the shift points. power is for towing

lol its funny how they put those trans switches in cars...

i have one in my tacoma, it doesnt really do anything, they make you think it does, its all in your head.:smiley-laughing021:

it causes it to hold in one gear longer. higher revs, worse gas mileage. but good for towing especially if you have overdrive.

It actually locks the converter and programs the computer to shift at a higher RPM.

you need to roll up your window before you go mudding or you will need wiper on the inside lol

yep rear defroster... mine never worked so I just wired it to be a push button start... it sucks not having a defrost... BUT you live in fat pussy florida where it doesnt frost!
