I thought this would be a good thread to help a lot of people on the forum. Post links to parts and write-ups.

Anyone ever think to use the A/C condenser as a HUGE!! trans cooler?

You don't want one that big unless you are towing semi trailers with an XJ. I have a BM fan/cooler in my hood. The fan comes on when the oil exiting the cooler is above 160°. I have yet to have it come on.

I have a VERY innovative idea for a tank... Im building my exo soon and I have decided to drill a 3/8 hole where every piece welds together and make one big exo tank... this will provide about 10 gallons or more of air on a basic exo... with a more elaborate one you can almost DOUBLE the air capacity... my only issue is I gott make AWESOME welds to make it air tight and make a purge valve on all of the pieces OR make all my 3/8 holes on a lower portion of my connections so I can just park on a hill and hit the drain

Just drill a hole in the tubing under every tube at the joint, but inside the tube.

Here is a link for OBA while saving your a/c. This is the route i will probably take, cause I love my A/C

I did something similar. Only I used the Sanden compressor. Either way, you will have to make a bracket for them. I run oil in the crankcase like the York and return it off the oil separator.

Actually it can. Schedule 40 PVC is rated at 300# I have a tank I made out of 4" that holds a little more than a gallon. Schedule 80 will take 600# I think. But you cannot let it get anywhere heat or it will fail. You can drill and tap for fittings where the glue joint is on the end caps.

This gives me an idea. Both rear inner fenders have unused space in them. Get a couple of 4" PVC pipes, cut them to length and mount them in each side behind the trim panel. Tie the tanks together and viola...protected air storage.

ORRRR run about ten of these side by side along the roof rack sitting slender in there very low on weight and can be painted to same color as EXO... Im REALLY diggin this plan thanks a MILLION for that idea 4.3

One cubic foot is equal to about 7.5 gal.

another idea for air tanks for this type of system. build your own bumpers or sliders and build them into tanks. I am getting ready to build my own sliders and they will be my airtanks, one for each side.
