I'm going to check at one of those places that has a bunch of used wheels sitting out tomorrow (never been to one of those) but I thought I'd check here with you guys first.

We have a 1996 Mustang and these were the wheels that came on it (we got it used) but I'm sure they are OEM.

No way I'd buy a whole set of these but I would like to find one.

I'll have a look thanks. If there's shipping involved it may not be worth it to me. I'm hoping for a $25 wheel.

I did see this problem is it is a set, and all I need is one. I don't want to spend $125. I may e-mail and see if they would sell one (and give me a picture since there are more than one type of 3 spoke wheels)

First she drove it while I walked along side of the car. It was wobbling. Then I took it in the garage, jacked up the rear took the wheel off and had her run the car in gear so I could watch the rotor. A little wobble but nothing like the wheel.

Just to be sure, I moved the suspected bent wheel to the other side and the presumed straight wheel to the driver's side.

We did the spinning tire test again and where I did see a very slight wobble on the driver's side, it was very pronounced on the passenger's side.

Frankly I would be surprised if she could have bent that axle.

One thing at a time. I'll replace the wheel then we'll go from there.

Thanks guys!

Tony that is one of the most common wheels that came on those year mustangs. And out those, that IS the most common wheel to be removed and replaced with somthing else. So just about any junkyard or used wheel store you find should have plenty, and will sale in singles. But if for some reason you cant find some local to where you are, I know where tons are down here.

And if worse comes to worse you can get a set of Mustang GT wheels with decent tires for between $200-$300

So I just found out that bent wheels can be straightened. Does anyone know a place in Houston that does that? Is it a bad idea to have this done? What is the price I should expect to pay?

Bent wheel replaced thanks the Matt (msmoorenburg) for finding it at the junk yard, and Scott (XJ4IV) for bringing it an hour away from Matt's house back to my neck of the woods!
