one RED XJ

My friend bought this lil Red XJ and he did:
- installed diesel engine - Hyundai 2.7L I4
- custom front bumper
- custom rear bumper with tire carrier
- fitted snorkel - PVC tube

Looks good. How well does it get down the road, without a Turbo diesel?

Very nice. Feeling full of power, not any power lack. Throttle response is good. On green traffic light, she starts like sport coupe. This engine is more lighter than our I6.

Not sure it would have been the diesel engine I would have gone with... would have much rathered have grabbed a turbo diesel... but still pretty cool none the less.. How does that rear tire carrier latch closed??

was it a diesel to start with ????? and if not why did he go with diesel repower ... cheaper to run ? cheers mate

Rear tire carrier: at this time NO LATCH. Just bolted.

yeah it is cheaper,
9 l/100km = 26.1349537 miles per gallon

in city traffic.

He have a plan to install turbo and lift (AAL, spacer ).

ok good... just wanted to make sure I hadn't lost my mind... didn't think I saw any kind of latch... going to add a turbo to that engine or a diff. engine all together w/ turbo??

Very clean design on the tire carrier. The diesel sounds like a good idea there, but here in the states we are kind of limited on what is available.
