On highway 1 just outside Calgary after a 9hr brutal drive back from BC. Road conditions got bad quick and there was a ford edge in the centre median. I stopped and made sure everyone was ok. The car was high centred and wasn't coming out until a gas company 1 ton deck truck pulled up and happened to have a strap and shovel. So I dug the nose out and went to strap the front sub frame,.. As I pulled the strap to loop it I whacked my had but kept going when we got the truck tethered the gas company guy ran to his first aid kit and pulled out gauze,.. I said you ok? He pointed at me and my freaking had was bleeding all over turned his yellow strap red. Long and the short I clipped my had and it went right through the meat and down to the inner moving bits,.. Off to emerg to get it checked out

So no major damage although I did get to see the inner workings of my thumb it was all ok and I just added 4 more stitches to the list, and 4hrs in emerg

You are indeed a good man to stop after such a long drive and get injured in the process. I commend you.

Meh s#it happens and it was a fluke,.. No idea what bit me but we got the truck out, I would of likley given up but saw 2 little kids in the back and they were trying to catch a flight and well the car they tried to avoid was a TJ that did a 360. At the docs I got to look in through the hole and see the inner workings of my digit,.. Had it not been for that I would of just crazy glued it up. As for luck if it went for bad luck I'd have no luck at all lol

Lol about halfway thru this video. I realized that I was watching it while I was eating. 14 years of the Fire department has stiffened up my stomach.

Damn thing opened right up after working on the Manche tonight,.. Even after the prescribed 7 days,... So down to 7-11 to get a $3.00 tube of crazy glue and we glued that mo-fo up,... It's now 100% closed up yet again. Way easier than heading down to the doc again,....

Maybe it's just me but if you have a nice scar there it would make a great foundation for a tattoo :smiley-laughing021:

It would be a great ice breaker with the ladies!
