I used a good jigsaw, with a brand new metal cutting blade. It worked great. Rene used an air nibbler on his, it also worked great.

yep i used a air nibbler ,, plus a fbh...... do a wee write up when you do yours with a lay out of the tools ya use ,,,, be pretty cool and woulds help others ,,,, good luck , it is a fun job ...

Plasma cutter!!! (and a steady hand). Takes about 10 minutes to do both fronts start to finish.

The sawzall and jig saw are very good methods also, just be sure and use NEW metal cutting blades. The finer the tooth the better.

I didn't want to use a cutting wheel because of the heat that is generated. You used a plasma cutter?!?!?!? :smiley-scared002:

It looks like you have Bushwacker Cutout flares on your Xj.What does it look like under the flares,just curious.:camera:I am probably going with the same as you have,I like the look.:thumbsup:

You can check the bushwacker site and download the pdf instructions to see exactly, but to my surprise it wasn't a nice curved trim. They have to cut irregular portions of the fender. I just did it like they said in the instructions.

Plan to trim up mine once I get some flares from Nappier.... awesome flares and cheaper than the similar looking but not performing Bushwackers...

I used my 4" angle grinder with a cut off wheel. Made short work of the fenders.
