I've come across a guy that wants to sell a tera low with the 2lo already installed for $800. I do do (:rotfl2:) alot of rockcrawling and also alot of exploration type driving. Those that have it, do you love it and wouldn't go back to the normal 231? Whats your guys thoughts?

Well that looks to be at least a $400 savings plus you don't have to install it. I can't see how you would lose on price or performance, but I don't have one so I can't really answer your question.

Polar

I have an Atlas 4 speed in my XJ. It has the 2.7 and 3.8 ratios. I have had it out in the rocks and I can tell you that there is a world of difference between them. That lower ratio is really cool, and much easier on your torque converter. Also, it will take out the jerkiness of your rock crawling. You will find it much easier to maintain the lower speed.

Thanks for the replies, I think I'll try and pick it up. He lives in an adjacent state so I'm trying to get him to meet half way. :D We'll see.

Picked it up. :smiley-dance015: The guy said it had a fairly new chain and even 2lo. Now I just need to trim the input shaft and through it in. Stupid cold  weather is really killing my desire to put it in just yet.
