A researcher was doing studies on churches. At the first church he visited in Arizona he noticed a golden phone on the wall behind the pulpit. Intrigued he asked the priest about the phone. "That is a direct line to God. However, the call costs $10,000.00". Thanking the priest he moved on to churches in New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and Oklahoma. Each church had the golden phone and the priests all acknowledged the call to God is $10,000.00. Finally, at a church in Texas, the researcher again saw the golden phone. The priest informed him the call was 50 cents. The researcher told the priest about seeing the phone in other churches throughout the country and the call was $10,000.00. The priest reminded him, "Ah yes, but now you are in God's country. It is a local call".
