Not necessarily. The law says they can put them anywhere if they can prove they are a tribe. There are some in down town areas which are clearly not on reservations.

Hey Spanky, I used to put fires out for a living. In Oregon, wood was cheap there too and lots of houses had inserts. Put a few fires out in walls around those fireplaces. The building codes assumed that a fireplace would not be burned 24/7 and the bricks would not get hot. Many times, the wood in the wall would be touching the bricks, which is not supposed to be the case. It would actually become carbon behind the sheet rock and then combust. But i have to confess I have thought about it too here.

Ya, well......I come from a long line of wood stoves, been burning since I was 14........cant say I know everything though........from a safety perspective, I took a good look a the chimney during the install, it's good.....personally I think the stove is better than an open fire.

By the way, I was offered a position with a major corperation in California yesterday, I turned it down due to sales tax, auto regs, and climate.....it was a GREAT offer, but I cant do Cali........

I thought the same thing, but you get used to it. I have learned how to get around the vehicle regs.

Mehhhhh.......the 9.5 sales tax got me!
Plus, if I maintained any side line of Detours, sales tax is mandatory in that state.......F That!!

WAY......too many cons!

That is true, but we have a low income tax. We pay far less total tax than we did in OR which has no sales tax, but a little more than WA state which does.
