hey all , got a warrant a few weeks back (same as your inspection ) and mechanic said left front wheel bearing is getting noisy ... now these aren't that old maybe 18 month with not many ks on em ,,,,,,:mad0090:
is there a way to pro long the life in these bearings ?? i know they are easy to swap out its just the price down here $300.00 a side ..
and don't say stay outta the mud and rivers aint gonna happen .....

That is the problem with these things, no tricks. It it was hubs and spindles, then yes.

cheers steve thought that may be the case ,,,, gotta ask but someone may have had a trick for them ,,, more of that ITS A JEEP THING ......

Water and mud should not be an issue as they are a sealed unit, possably just a quality issue of what your getting there. Sorry to say not much you can do to prolong the life. to bad your not here in the states ... thier alot cheaper

If there was a trick, it would be to pack the bearing completely solid with grease, preferably water proof. No air space in it would not allow it to suck water in when it hits the cold water.

they are the ones from the states , can get chinese ones down here for a bit cheaper but na .........

guess what Mrs is getting for Xmas then lol
