View Full Version : Ballast Resister Under Hood Question?

I found that the ballast resister on the driver's fender has something in connection with the fuel pump. I was thinking about putting a jumper wire to each wire to bypass the resister. Has anyone out there already tried this, and what wil happen. Or will it affect performance.:patriot:

Jenssen spoke about it in CHAT!!!! Maybe he posted it, anyway...

It was used to make the fuel pump quieter. You can jumper the ballast resistor and the fuel pump will get the full voltage. You don't need the resistor, it's just a creature comfort thing.
