Depends on wheather it will be a DD or trail rig. The ultimate for both would be ARB lockers IMO. for my trail rig I plain on an Aussie in the front and a lincoln locker in the back.

Like big Jim said, it depends on whether or not you will use it for a daily driver, or if say your wife will drive it. If so, then you need a selectable locker, of which ARB is the best. The other automatic lockers are a matter of price and how much strength you need.

A lot of people use lunchbox lockers with good success. If you don't go too big on the tires, say 33". Beyond that, the stock carrier is not going to be able to handle it safely. Then an automatic like a Detroit is needed. But you also have to take into account which axle you are dealing with. If you have a D35, I would not lock that one at all. Some people have with success and not gone over 31" tires. But also many have had them give them grief. I have a d35 and will not lock it. The D30 is a good front end and is good for 33s locked, but gets a little dicey with 35s.

I think OrangeXJ has a ECTD e-locker. From what I have seen it works great. But when it is unlocked it is a limited slip, so he rarely needs to lock it.

He seems to be the exception.

I put a powertrax no slip in my C8.25, it woke up the beast within, I love it. I plan on adding an aussie up front soon.
