several months ago my 87 XJ took a dive on me after i put a lift on it, after exhausting all my options and spending mass amounts of money on it, i decided to get rid of it. got a good deal on a chevy K5 blazer and have been driving it back and forth to work. also in this time i found out im going to be a dad and our SON is due in february.

fast forword to now and my neighbor is planning on moving to england and is selling me his cherokee for a very nice price. also since i helped him build it, i also know whats wrong with it.

1997 XJ
4.0 HO
AX15
dana 30 front, 4.88 gears, and a trac loc
dana 35 rear, 4.88 gears, detroit, super 35 kit
7-9 inches of mix matched lift (will be lowering it)
35" BFG mud
winch

most of the add-ons look like he shopped from the rustys catalog. roof rack, t-case drop, front pre-runner bumper, swing out rear, beefed up steering.

yah ive been distracted from that and then the plans changed a bit. its now the dodge chassis with a 67 jeep gladiator cab and front clip with a custom built flatbed.

Welcome back... and that is a very nice looking XJ you are getting there... Is is a bad thing that he built a good majority of it from the Rusty's catalog??

Well I had a couple things wrong on my info. It has 4.56 gears not 4.88 gears. It also a true trac locker in the front. He gave me his receipt folder, there's about a grand into the front axle and over 3 grand in the rear axle.

Picked it up today, mounted one of my winches on it and got about way through the on board air install.

I'd love to see it now. Where can I see pics of it? Your club's site?
