So I reloaded Windows XP on my dell,.. and no matter what I do I have no audio drivers,.. I have tried chipset downloads, drivers get kernal errors amongst other stuff and I am going nucking futz,.. any insight for the PC challenged?

Probably the wrong drivers, have you already checked the device manager?

Start > Run > devmgmt.msc

Are you hard-wire connected to the internet(not wifi)? Windows should be able to find and download the proper drivers as long as your connected to the interwebz.

One of the drivers he needs to load is for the Ethernet controller. :thumbdown:
