Hi all.
Not sure what to say. Earlier today I ordered a bumper mount spare tire carrier for my 1988 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 Pioneer Olympic on line (I wont mention from who for fear of being labeled a spammer, unless you say otherwise).
Next thing you know, the owner of the company (Spunky "D") calls me on my cell phone? Real cool guy. We talked for maybe 20 or 30 minutes. Talk about personal customer service being brought to a whole new level? I was impressed. We even spoke about stuff not related to my bumper purchase, and this site came up. So here I am.
(Tongue in cheek) He said if I joined this site, there is a guy named "Mudder Roy" that lives right down the street from me would install my bumper for me when it arrives. *smirk* :wow:
Anyway, I bought this rig about 6 months ago, and since put a 3.5 lift, 33x12.50R15 on some 15x8 American Racing rims, and the spare no longer fits behind the back seat.
The most recent Mod was finding a front bumper on craigslist that included Rally lights, and a Winch for $300. Needs some work, but bought new separately would have quite a bit more. One of the 100 watt bulbs needed replacing, but was only 5 dollars at O'reilly's, and it looks like one of the solenoids on the winch is starting to go bad, and the steel cable needed replacing along with the fair lead. Several misc parts at the local junk yard, and that about it so far.
Next will be the bumper mount spare, but that will be a piece of cake thanks to Mudder Roy.

Cool! I may take you up on that. Spanky "D" said it will probably not be ready till around Thanksgiving.

Here are a few pics of when i bought it.

Since these pictures were taken, I have added the front bumper I was telling you about, but have not taken any more of it since. I will get more recent ones up soon.

Ok, Yea, this is a old thread. I need to get new pics up. I have also added the Bushwacker cut out style fender flares since as well. The 33's were rubbing a bit. I want to go higher someday, but seems to have fixed the problem for now.

lol yeah Spanky. I have two of his bumpers. The front winch bumper is a custom. :D

We don't pretend that other Jeep sites don't exist or other companies don't exist if they are not vendors here. So feel free to mention names of other sites, and companies.

:welcome: and :thanx: for joining xjtalk! :love0007:
