View Full Version : Tire Size Conversion Metric/Standard

I've been watching Craigs list for some tires. I have only been paying attention to the 33x12.5x15 tires. I've seen some metric sizes that look big just basically ignored them since it wasn't what I was watching for.
Today I finally got around to finding a metric/standard tire size converter. I see that LT305/75R15 is a 33" tire, but how do I tell what the width is?
I guess I should have looked up what then numbers mean.

So there ISN'T a metric equivalent to a 33x12.5x15 tire?

318/72R15 for 33x12.5x15 or
318/80R15 for 35x12.5x15
