tailgate adjustment

hey all , how do i adjust the tail gate in these jeeps , mine rattles like hell and drives me nuts ,, have it apart but cant find any loose bits ..... just the nut who drives it ...cheers :thumbsup:

Wayne, you can loosen the torx screws in the catch on the base. You can move it a little and retighten. Also, the rubber stops unscrew easily and you can put a washer or two under them and that makes it a little tighter.

it was the rest of the tire carrier i had taken off inside tailgate making all the rattle and hum lol..so yeah kinda fixed it , but i made it too lol

I need to adjust my hatch catch as well mudd fawker rattles like a b**tch,.. could be that the DD XJ has 54x,xxx Kms though lol

The pins do wear out you can always remove the old one and turn it around to wear out the other side
