would anyone have the part number for the rear output seal on a ext slip 242j?
all parts stores lists the same seal the 4370n for all jeep tc's... that seal is for the int slip. i did find a number on line 4798117 but they all say that number can not be crossed. i can not believe national or timken do not make a seal for it.

that is the jeep number rite? so the only place to get this seal is from jeep?

that link is for a 242 internal slip. im not sure what you want me to look at?

np bud ya welcome to my hell lol. it has gone as far as a kid at advanced auto parts telling me i have no idea what im talking about cuz my 249 had 2wd and my 242 is a awd tc and he should know cuz he worked for jeep for a few years ... i turned around and walked out.

ok after a week of pulling my hair out... just go to NAPA seal number 18108.
