Watched a episode last night where they took a Brute, Land Rover and a prototype Jeep with a hemi in it on a run thru Moab, Utah.

I have been on some of those trails, did not ever think of doing them in the snow!

Snow always makes it more interesting. It gets real interesting trying the Rubicon and Fordyce trail in the snow. Most start doing that in the spring after the major storms have passed.

I watched this originally on Hula. It may be because I've never driven in the snow, but dangerous drives? That was one lame show. The brute climbing the ice/snow covered rocks was the most dangerous thing I saw. I mean other than the real possibility of freezing to death, or 5 or 6 naked men huddling together sharing body heat to survive... {the horror!}

I've started recording the shows on my PVR on the outside chance that they have something that is really dangerous.

I watched that show. There were some hairy moments. If you are climbing rocks and one side is a drop off and they are covered with snow, that definitely is a problem. It would not take much to slide sideways and over the side. Some of the regular road, downhill and slick could be a real problem too if you loose traction with those steep drop offs. I get a little antsy in those situations, especially if alone with good traction. One of those situations I would have had a winch hooked up as a precaution.

Thats what I was thinking when they were running along the Ledge. Hook together just in case one starts to slide...

Mudderoy...no snow? Dang, thats more fun for me than mud or rocks! Probably because snow is around for more months than anything else...lol
