Yeah I think it's going to get easier and cheaper here.

It is 50% cheaper. But one has to be retired military to get the discount:patriot:

How long ago? The instructor said he has seen the renewals come in recently as quickly as 2.5 weeks.

I took the class in march 09 and the instructor said they were still on track. The packet sat on someones desk till the end of August then the 90day's started.

I read somewhere it's supposed to be a max of 45 days for a renewal. We'll see, I'll post up here when I get it.

So what'd ya score? I shot 248 when I first tested and 249 back in August when I re-certified. Guy next to me was throwing brass on me at the longest range. I had a burn for 2 weeks after that from the one piece that made me pull wide and make me miss the full 5 point area.

My carry piece:

lol I have no idea. I was really concerned with my score when I first went to get my CHL, then I found out you basically need to be able to hit a 4x8 sheet of plywood at 7 yards. So this time my goal was just hit the paper. The two guys next to me were tearing out the center bullseye. And one of them was using a laser. I felt like I was cheating since I used the full sized Glock instead of my subcompact.

I received license in the mail on Saturday. 11-13-2010. I took the class on 09-25-2010. It cost me $139 to renew, $70 with the state of Texas and $69 for the class (renewal). :patriot:
