So I just bought a couple pairs of these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-x-Xenon-White-Car-26-LED-SMD-Bulbs-H3-Fog-Light-12V-/120623448020?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c15b7bfd4 I only paid 13.98 and got free shipping ... only problem is it ships from HONG KONG... kinda far but anyhow I will show pics of how bright and my opinion on these once I install them... in like THREE WEEKS!!!!
My main goal was to have water proof lights I hated replacing those damn halogens and these cost as much as the regular bulb so WHY NOT?
they will go into my existing housings

Also tony you have to remember red lights dont give off as much brightness as white lights using the same power... its why the military uses them at night... also military uses them cause red mocks total darkness with the human eyes, when we are in red lights then we go outside where its pitch black our eyes dont have to adjust at all like they do when you come from a lit room to total darkness

read the section called "Colorimetry, color science, vision, and photography"

each bulb has 26 leds attached to it... they are the same as the LEDs on my camera phone for the flash which is fairly bright but I figured 14 bucks I could easily get my money back on them if I wasnt impressed... Im sure some ricer would use them.
There was only one bulb that offered more LEDS and that was 66 per bulb however the length of the replacement was a little too long for my existing housings as they would most likely not sit flush on the seating without hitting the lens on the other side.

I will try and install these either tonight or tomorrow sometime and get night pics... I already know they don't put out as much light but they ARE water proof and NOW the housing is water proof as well as I sealed the whole thing with hot glue... no more mud inside the lenses

Does this mean we can now call them "Mud Lights"?

I bought 5 strips of LED lights off of ebay from Hong Kong. These are waterproof strip lights, 66 LEDs per strip, adhesive backing. Think I paid 1.99 per strip + 11.99 for shipping.

See what muddy started with his fancy rocklights.
