Cup holders are a problem in pre 96 XJs. You can get one from Jeep that mounts on the console, but you sacrifice the parking brake function because the handle won't travel far enough to really set the brake. So I moved it and cut the bottom off it and mounted it where the 96 and up cup holder is. This is not a pic to show off my shift leavers, but the cup holder.

it will kinda incorporate the later model center console... basically its gonna be a power point for 12v it will house 2 usb charging ports and two 12v lighter sockets and a few other things, Im gonna cover it with ABS plastic, thats a little slow on time right now as Im doing the d60 stuff now

Several reasons. One was gearing. We have lots of rock crawling around here. 2.7:1 is just not low enough for that. But 2.7:1 is a good trail ratio. I can use both depending on the situation and use the lowest ratio for really technical stuff, or very handy when loading on a trailer or going down hill on steep technical stuff. I will be upgrading axles to go with it when finances allow. Another plus is that it is so much easier to get in and out of 4WD

That's awesome. My buddy had a s10 with a 4.3. We did heads, cam, computer tune and full exhaust. That thang was a super sleeper for a couple of high school guys. Lots of fun

I have my eye on those same upgrades when finances allow.
