Hi,

My name is Saar, I'm a member here for a while but never wrote anything (well, till now)

I live in Israel, own 2001 XJ, with RE3.5", 4.0 engine and AW4 tran.
That car is my hobby (with my second car, 1988 Alfa Spider)

Here is a picture of it:

Nice looking XJ, and welcome. XJs look good when they are dirty from being used as they are supposed to to be.

Hey thanks for checking in. Very cool that you are from Israel! I love it when the non-US Jeep XJ owners find us and check in. Love having having Jeeps in common with people all over the world. As far as I know you are our first Israel member.

Also thanks for the picture. How common, or uncommon, are the Jeep XJ's in Israel?

:welcome:

Hi,

Thank you for the warm welcome :-)
XJ's are not very common in Israel, most of them are from 99-01, very few before that (~10, yes, ten...)
The ZJ are more common here, but once again, we are small country, when I say common, I guess it would be 200-500....

Saar, I notice that you have a Rubicon Express lift on your Jeep, which is a common thing here too. I have seen some other pics of modified 4X$s from Israel too. Are modified vehicles common there?

Hi,

Well, RE is pretty common when you are talking about ZJ or XJ here in Israel,
once again, common is very relative for where you are...
I think we are talking about less than 50 of them :-)

My alfa is in restoring process, but here is one pic:

That was in the day I bought it, about a year ago...

Hi,

Actually, it was in a very bad shape, the color looks shiny since it was raining...
if you don't mind seeing some Hebrew around, you can see the pictures in my gallery:
http://www.pic.co.il/UserAlbum.asp?uid=0349364E2C3945329508FE05D26F4BCC&alid=580975

those are not all of the pictures, I have to upload some more (top replacing, some mounts and many more)

No problem with Hebrew here. But when I read it the words come out backwards because I read from the wrong side LOL

It looks like someone replaced the door panels with something else. Is that right?

yes, you are right.
god knows why....
Anyway those were already replaced (as well as many other parts) I will update that when I'll find the time...
