Looking for a MJ

This is for the Houston area folks. I'm looking for a MJ to build like my XJ except with more goodies. I know there hard to find but if anyone comes across one that's for sale give me a shout.

Not to count out my La XJ brothers I can go there to get one.

BlueXJ, also a Texas resident, bought one in the Houston area about a year ago. I believe the guy had two. It's a long shot, but check with blue.

Thanks for the help guys. Making a 2wd to a 4x4 is more work then I want to do. So I'll keep looking for a 4x4 I'm not in a hurry.

My plan is to put a 6.5 long arm kit on it and lockers. The amount of money I will spend depends on the condition of the MJ. What do you got for sale and where are you located?

i don't have anything for sale per-se, but i run a small jeep fab shop up here on the NW side of houston, and have built several comanche's for customers in the past. Comanches are somewhat rare, especially to find one with the options most seek, i.e. auto,4x4,shortbed etc.

my current mj is for sale, along with everything i own, for the right price, but i think your looking for something a little less

PPL who own MJ's are hoarders... trust me I know. I have 3 of them:D As for them being RARE.. thats a stretch... it is just hard to find them in decent condition. I can find about 10 that are total rust buckets... but the ppl who own them have bought into the "rarity" of them.


Check Comancheclub.com sometimes you can find a decent buy on there..

or.........i could go pick up the red one in magnolia, fix it, give it a paint job/tlc, a 4wd swap, long arms, and some decent tires and run it over to ya for about 6k

ok i'll agree that they arn't "rare" in the same sense that a dusenburg X is rare , but overall they made less than 200,000 of them, and stopped production almost 20 years ago............i mean there are 14 cherokees on the road(or junkyard) for every comanche..........so yes...not "rare" but getting hard to find in good condition

Love the3 dash in the MJ.. thats my next project for the Turd.

I have been looking for bedsides for my truggy... I keep finding rusted out POS beds.. or ones too nice to cut up.:(


Around where I live.. you see quite a few Mj's.. they are either beat to death farm rigs, or decent DD quality rigs. I currently own 3 MJ's, and have a lead on a guy who was collecting AMC/Jeep vehicles in the 80's so I might have a lead on a few more... supposedly the guy has about 10 MJ's:driving:
