found this one under dash, near steering column. No cable connected to this unit and 2-3 suitable connectors around.

My Mom and Dad had a Buick that you could set a pointer on the speedo to a certain speed and when you reached that speed it would set off a buzzer. that was on a early to mid 70 buick. I've never heard anybody say anything about this on a Jeep before. Of course this could be your BLACK BOX that big brother is using to moniter your speed. :eek: :rotfl2:

from what i read, it is a speed warning device, someone must have unplugged it due to the annoyance lol its suppose to beep when you go over 75mph, thats just from what i read, test the theory and plug it in and go 75 see what happens

Exactly right , I would leave it unplugged though in some cases it will actually de-fuel the rig and slow you back down like a governour. they are a major PITA !!!!
