View Full Version : BFG Maxium Traction (MT) Tires Discontinued KM2!

I was just at NTB getting my tires balanced and rotated. I asked the manager if he had any BFG 35x12.5x15 tires, that I would like to roll one up along side my 32's and see if they would fit.

He checked. They didn't have any in the store, plus he said they were discontinued. ALL THE MT's are discontinued!!!!

They are going to have a 40% discounted on the remaining MT's, so I can get the 35's for $117 each, if they can find 4.

Has anyone heard anything about MT's being discontinued?

Called one of my sons friends that works at a tire store here locally that sells them and he said he hasn't heard anything about that. He said that he installed 4 33s today, on a TJ. IDK

never heard of them muddie , but i wish i could get tires for that price $300.00plus a tire for the 33s i put on lol......

He called me back and said that the MTs have been discontinued for a while. The KM2s took their place.

Well it wouldn't the first time a store manager told me something wrong. They are having a 40% sale on them though. Maybe they are only being discontinued at NTB, as in not carrying them any more. That's not what he told me, but I plan on calling BFG tomorrow.

So at 40% off I may have to buy a set of tires anyway! Do you guys think 35's would fit on my 4.5" lift? May have to go 33's.

throw some 35s on flex it up and have a look .. someone on here must have a set so ya can have a look sees....

i would say yes they will fit but, you will have to cut. i went with a couple of jeeps this last week end that were on 35s that i sat the same height as them on 33s. i will have to see if i have a pic or not.

According to the manager, it's all NTB stores. He only showed 1 33x12.5x15 tire.

BF Goodrich says the MTs are NOT discontinued. :patriot:

The last time I checked, the KM2s had replaced all the MTs except one size LT255/75R17/C. So, if you do find a set, they will be cheaper. The MTs are cheaper than the KM2s anyway as a whole.

Tire rack has KM2's fr 195 each... I went to a local guy who said he could do a set of 4 carried out 90 days same as cash for 1043... seems a little high for carry out So im going to show him the price of these from tire rack...
however IF I can find a set of new bfg MT for 117 each ... Id have to get those!!!

I would have bought them but NTB never called me back, twice. Basically they had a great sale, but only had 1 33" BFG.
