I'm now in a small town in Luxembourg, all is closed, and my rig is parked on some road about 60 km from here.
I blew one of the water hoses, and i forgot to look at the diameter of this hose.

it is the hose what goes from the thermostat housing to the heater valve.
This hose is fixed to the valve by a shrinked collar, how to get this collar of ??
and any idea what the diameter is of this hose????

just have checked in to an hotel and have to wait till tomorrow

You will probably have to cut that collar off and replace it with a hose clamp. Not sure on the diameter since I don't have a 4.0L.

Actually what your looking at from the description is a heater hose, this is normally 1/2" or 5/8" the 5/8" is the most common. Here is the quick fix to get you home. You should have 2 hoses than run back that way , one on top and one on the bottom. cut the one that broke off and cut the good one also attach then so they loop around sometimes you can use the good hose by itself make sure that it goes back into the t stat houseing on both top and bottom . All you have done is bypass the heater core and the water will still circulate as it should. Good luck !!!

Are you sure 1 1/4 or 1 1/2, that looks awful big,
as big as my radiator hose?

are we discussing the same hose??
