I was just curious if that was a real price. You don't see many XJs in such good condition and that low a mileage. I thought maybe, just maybe, it was worth that in the blue book. Still almost $10k was way more than I thought I would find out it was worth.

i have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 4x4 Dana 44 front axle. the housing is in good condition the passenger axle shaft is good and the sway bar an steering is good and all there. it would be good for a parts axle or buy a drivers side axle shaft and swap it into a jeep or toyota. everything is there including the coils. i upgraded axles and dont need this one any more.

The trailer tows very well with a Jeep with no issues, any mid size or larger SUV or truck should be able to handle it. The dimensions are: 80" W x 107" L x 67" H. The storage area dimensions are 48" W x 46" L x 35" H. I don't know how much it weighs, but when the trailer is empty I can move it around by myself fairly easily.

This is a custom made camping / utility / offroad trailer that I purchased approximately 2 years ago with the following features:

• Independent suspension with shock springs and 37" tires
• Large water tank with hand pump
• Two onboard air tanks for refilling tires, air mattresses, etc.
• Battery box with wiring connection for auxiliary port (battery is not included)

I'm glad you asked that. I started the build of my 98 Jeep XJ as a hurricane escape vehicle. The wife hates that I call it that. It reminds her of the fear she had during hurricane Rita. Cat 5 hurricane just off the coast of Texas and it was looking like it was going to hit here. A week after Katrina devastated New Orleans people were pretty nervous, even though we're a good 75 feet higher and above sea level.

Our neighbors spent 12 hours in traffic and moved only a couple of miles. I decided then I was going to make my Jeep into something I could take off road.

I had a 4x4 in the past but there was no Internet then. Going to the Internet to research how to lift my Jeep I was amazed at what I found. Loads of great information, and well the whole Jeep thing became much more than something to get my family to safety it became a hobby.

Here we are about 6 years later and my modifications to my 1998 are still for that primary purpose of getting my family out of harms way, to go around the traffic.

It's my daily driver so unless I want to work on it A LOT so I can get to work on Monday I pick and choose when I take it off road. It's a learning experience to see just how much I can do with it and not break it. Recently the running hot has negated driving 70 highway miles to an off road park, even if I wanted to go.

So to answer your question, it would be great to have this trailer as part of the original plan, a hurricane escape vehicle. Especially with the dual fuel can mounts, but also for the extra battery and storage. You never know what might happen.
