I have a 98 and it has the dummy light cluster. If I put a cluster with the tach and other gauges in it does the computer hold my mileage and if not is there anyway to get the new reprogramed for my mileage.

pretty sure that you have to take it to a callibration place and have them do it, at least thats how it used to be...

i think that they give you some kind of sheet to prove the mileage is correct for legal reasons, like when you transfer title or for inspections, and changing an odometer has to be documented even if the mileage stays the same, "legally" speaking of course.

not a lawyer, but pretty sure.

not sure though if the mileage stays the same, there maybe stipulations.
