Well as most of you know I built a cool set of side pieces for my front bumper and while doing that I asked a few of you guys about stingers or hoops and such and I decided to go ahead and do it as the ONLY piece of cosmetics on my jeep... well the outcome was GREAT Thanks to Rene and his co-worker who did all the cutting and welding... basically I said what I wanted and they went to work cutting and bending and welding...
Here are the pics.
Rene welding the hoop on first

finished and looks AWESOME!!!
I wouldn't have ever BOUGHT something like this cause it would have cost about 300 bucks, my total cost was taco bell lunch for Rene, his Girlfriend and Rene's co-worker... 12.97... plus Rene's upgrade on the medium to large Ice Tea

You can have one easier than you think. Just slip a couple of plates under the gas tank straps.

I gave my old one away last week. Too bad you don't live in NorCal, I would have given it to you.

P.S. I'll work for Taco Bell :D

Join the club. Mine is drivers side and for the longest time it effected my ability to fuel up with the handle fully squeezed on the pump.

Mine came with a full set of skids from the factory. I thought all Jeeps came that way. Wait, did you guys buy 2 wheel drives and convert them? :smiley-laughing021:

I heard those factory ones were pretty weak and for the way I wheel that I would require a nice 3/16 to 1/4 thickness ... I like rocks!

I think it was an option that was common just as the 20 gal tank was a very common option.

Ya 31 dollars total... $11 for the side pieces n $20 to the Guy who welded those on, the pipe was leftover material.

I took a factory skid and plated it with 3/16" plate. It is pretty stout now.
