I found these lights on ebay and I would like to get a couple sets prior to EVERY 4wheeler person in the world finding out about them and the price skyrocketing.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2x-70-High-Power-LED-Strobe-White-Flash-Light-J140-4-/170505926398?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b2f1f6fe
What I really wanna know is can these lights be wired to run like a regular light with a simple switch instead of the strobe effect?
can I bypass the "strobe" module and just wire them in place of my existing halogen rock lights?
Any guidance is appreciated! Thanks

You know how I can tell they are decent LED panels? The shipping is $40!!!! :smiley-laughing021: No way in HELL I would pay $38+ dollars for shipping. That is a scam.

Personally I don't like to buy stuff off ebay. But to answer your question about switches, yes you can run them off a switch because they draw such low power.

ouch muddy that hurts.... See I priced these things out ebay sales are a scam anyhow... they ALWAYS put the sales price low and jack the shipping up cause very few folks actually look at the shipping until they already committed to buying the itemfor a NICE set of LED's Id pay that much easily

yes continuous running. The thing about LEDs is that they draw a very small fraction of the same power as a regular type of light bulb does. We always advocate using a relay for these types of lights because they can draw so much power they can burn up a good heavy duty switch. But drawing about 1/10 as much power for the same amount of light allows you to not need a relay. I would use a good carling switch though.

Yeah sorry about that. I guess it depends on how you look at it. It pisses me off when sellers do that excessive shipping thing, and it is a clear indicator to me that they cannot be trusted. It is risky enough buying online. But that's me.

Personally I would get the xenon bulbs. I found this one :link: (http://www.hidny.com/product.sc?productId=116&categoryId=-1) for $84

Try here http://www.oznium.com/ I have some interior lights but havn't put any up for rock lights yet. They have some water proof ones that I;ve been thinking about getting once I finish a couple other projects.

It looks like you will need to take one of the lights apart to take the strobe part out, it looks like one of them is wired into the other and that is where the strobe module is mounted.
