in need opinions!!! so i replace my rear main seal or have ashop do it i know how its just is it worth the time to do it or have my mechanic do it???im only leaking maybe a quart a week so should i run a heavier oil for now??? any advice

Running a heavier oil won't do squat. I've done my own on both rigs because I was quoted $550 for labor. Since I don't make $550 per day...I figured I'd be money ahead blowing a day on it. If you make $550 a day...take it in.

Same reasoning I use for Jeep repairs.
