Is this supposed to be for a thermometer or a compass or something? I've looked about everywhere for my Chilton so I could look it up there, but I think it's across town at the shop.:mad:

I see... I didn't get a remote with it... If I install an aftermarket keyless entry system/alarm, do I need to get rid of that stuff or disconnect it, or will it mess up my power locks if I do?

If you get an aftermarket dont worry about this it wont effect it.

i don't see a pic but if it's the globe in the headliner that your talking about then it's the keyless remote sensor.

Thats the MRDS detector. Turn on the Auto Pilot system that causes the XJ to veer off the pavement, when it detects any Mud or Rock or Dirt or Sand.
