4.10 gears

did 1992 cherokees come with 4.10 gears or is this person just trying to make a sell.
I ask him what gears was in the axles and he said stock and i said i was looking for 4.10 and he said they was!:D

I found this 4.10 - used with 2.5L engine usually, and older XJs with the "Off-Highway Vehicle" package. (http://jeephorizons.com/tech/xjstockspecs.html)

if you want to you can get under and look at the diff cover there should be a metal tag on one of the bolts on the diff go take a look

4.10 were used in 4 cylinder and early Up Country option, could also be ordered from the factory in all years. Jeep has always had many off the books options available. This is why it is almost impossible to find allot of identically optioned jeeps. Heck I have a pioneer, guess what Pioneer is a off the list option in 1996, Not Offer in the catalog, you had to ask for it special.
