Hi there,

Thanks for the welcome. I've been into the Jeep Thing for about 6 years now when I inherited my first XJ when my dad passed away. I needed to fix an RMS and was told that labor alone was going to be $600.

So, I bought a couple manuals, Googled up RMS and ended up on NAXJA. Since then I've done all the work on the Jeep. Transformed it from a stock grandpa Jeep over time to a nice ride, on and off road.

I don't do alot of crazy rock climbing or muddin' but I enjoy having a capable rig that can take me pretty much anywhere I want to go.

This is my XJ, 2 years ago:

It has a 3.5" lift with a full leaf pack, ZJ V8 coils and 2" spacers. 4.0L, AW4, D30/D35 w/ 3.55's, aftermkt front bumper, K/N intake, etc. etc.

I also recently got my hands on a project MJ and developed a good relationship with my local junkyard guy. The MJ project is coming along slowly because I'm kind of broke AND all my work has to be done outside (wife owns the garage) on a gravel driveway.

Here is the MJ when I got it:

I was referred to this site by rysam, hopefully he won't regret it.

Hey thanks for giving us a try. There are many Jeep sites out there so we try to be a little different. The main reason for this site was so that we could foster an environment where people could ask questions without fear of being ridiculed for there lack of knowledge, or searching abilities.

You certainly aren't a beginner so perhaps, if you choose to hang with us, you'll be one of the many members that help with answering questions. I always try, but I'm not always right.

Please keep us updated on the MJ. Once I get a Wrangler for the wife I might start looking for an MJ, I just with they had kept making them into the 90's like my XJ.
