Well rguinard and WORPOffroad peer pressured (in chatbox) me into buying some e-bay injectors the other day.

http://xjtalk.com/images/special/jeepnewinjectors.jpg

So I sent the guy a message asking him if they were 4 hole nozzels. Hope hope hope... Here is his response.

http://xjtalk.com/images/special/jeepnewinjectors1.jpg

Now I won't pretend to be any kind of injector expert, but 6?!?!?!

6 will work just as good as 4 if not better. but those where the wrong connectors. you will need to get the connectors from like a 01 xj if they will work or a late model ford.

The more holes the better. That is the idea, better pattern and volatilization.

I'm curious as well. They came in today, and that's only because they required a signature and no one was here yesterday when the first delivery attempt was made. I think transit time was 1 day!?!?!?!

Anyway I'm disappointed to find out that I have to find some plugs before I can change them. Maybe this is a common thing, but I thought that I would be able to just plug these into the existing wiring.

I guess it will be a few more days before I'll see if this helps the running of the engine.

If you've read this thread you know I have a problem. I have 8 pristine Ford 24 lbs injectors begging, yes begging, for me to install them but I can not.

The connectors are different from the connectors I have on the XJ.

Other than going to a junk yard to cut and take home the necessary connectors does anyone know of another source? A cheap source naturally.

I think I'm going to start with ebay after I find out the exact injectors I have.

How common is it to have to replace the connectors on the XJ when you install new, non Chrysler OEM injectors? Or did I just buy the wrong ones?

So all I had to do what scroll up in the post to see that they are Ford 24 lbs injectors, part number 9L3EE7A.

If I have a 96 XJ what Injectors would make the easiest swap for me? From what I gathered, injectors were $250 + for a set. If I come across pricing as good as Mudderoy's was then it would be good to know what the best parts are to look for.

My boys are adults. My girls are not. The girls don't date yet, so there's no need to monitor the goodnight kiss. Besides I wouldn't have a camera there for that anyway. The camera at the door gives us, mainly my wife and children the ability to see who is at the door prior to opening it, and actually be far away from the front door.

I have plans to install an intercom that will allow me to speak with the person at the front door from anywhere in the world.

There is a few other things I want to do like monitor temperature, alarm status etc... via the Internet.

Short term I'm going to relocate my camera in the back yard. Not sure if it will stay there, or I may point it more skyward to capture weather conditions like thunderstorms, airplanes etc...

Mine is a 1998 and I still need to do more research, but from what I understand right now since mine is a OBD II the computer will make the necessary fuel pressure adjustments. All I will need to do is replace the injectors.

My understanding is you need 19 lbs injectors, like the ones WORP was going to sell me. He saw I had a 1998 and told me his wouldn't work, and then he pointed out on ebay the one's I have now. They are 24 lbs injectors.

well crap how much was he selling them for? and is mine OBDII? it's a 92 and I cant recall when the switch was.

BTW my misfire was just bad tank of fuel... 43 bucks wasted... I only got 117 miles out of it too... maybe thats why they were giving away free carwashs LOL they asked If I wanted one and I told them "seriously look at it" my jeep would cause more damage to the carwash than the carwash could do to the jeep!!!
