well there are 2 ways - my way was to know the person that flipped it on the interstate :shocker:

the other way is to see when the impound is doing auctions - localy they do them like every other saturday or something like that.

Guy wanted 2000 for mine. Too much for a 90, but it had a newish lower end rebuild and brand new 31's.

I ended up trading my 89 D250 (2wd Ram) for it that I paid $1200 for.

I miss my Ram terribly (I got a thing for first gen Dodges), but I'm happy with the end result.

well it is a long story for mine.:boohoo:

ok so it all started with my second xj it was a 92 i paid $1500 for it with a ford 8.8 and a arb in the rear with 33s. well i got this wild hair up my *** and decided i wanted a truck so i traded it for a very clean 83 toy pick up on new 33s. then had the truck for a couple of months :smiley-laughing021: no really it was only a couple of months and i could not stand not having a xj so i traded it for the jeep i have now. it is a 88 with 7.5 inches of lift and long arms and the rear is locked. so i guess i paid $1500 for it but then i have put about $2000 in to it with changing the front and rear axles and building my long arms but it is well worth it.

I had an 86 Yota on 32's before I got my YJ, loved the thing but the frame was beyond weak. Great trucks but not tough enough to take a real beating out of the box (anything can be built).

$1600 with only 30,000 actual miles on it. It was towed behind a motor home all its life. It had a broken center pin on the rear spring so the guy sold it to me thinking there was something major wrong with it.:D Drove it home and picked up with my sky crane and fixed it in 20 mins.

I picked my current 91 2 door in Reno for 2000$, a week after the PO put new 32's and rims on it. the tires still had the tits on them. I cant even begin to think about what i've put into it in the last year..i swapped almost everything from my totalled 92 limited over and then some. it just keeps going and going.

Paid $2100 for mine in 2001. It had a few problems but ran good and was perfect for hauling my grandkids around, which was the original reason to get it.
