I was flipping around the other day and I happened on a show about the border patrol. They were out at night on a trail in their SUV. They had the area lit up pretty good with their lights, and then I noticed it was pretty lit up to the sides.

Seems they have these large LED panels on the sides of the SUV on the lower fender.

I thought this was an excellent alternative to having lights on the roof rack turned at a 45 degree angle.

Just wondering if any of you guys have seen something like this online. I haven't searched yet...

My KC lights are done that way somewhat. The outer two are angled to the sides, plus they are flood, whereas the middle ones are spot lights and they are pointed directly in front of me.

I love the LED lighting, but it will be awhile before I get anything like this. I'm sure the prices will drop drastically over time so I will have them! :)

On my list of things to want too. They ran a sale for awhile on the 36" bars and knocked about $400 off. I am sure the prices will come down eventually.

Yeah I'd love to have that 42" bar on the top of my Jeep.

I can buy another XJ for what those lights cost. Heck a set all the way around my Jeep would make a nice downpayment on a new house.

I ordered two, in red. It will allow me to complete my red light rock crawling project. Two in the front, four in the middle and two in the rear. Although with the size and extremely inexpensive nature of these, I may be adding more.

Well I ordered two red LEDs from bluewaterled.com, and received four!

I sent an e-mail and they replied that they come in pairs, and I ordered two pairs! So these things are about $5 a piece!

Very bright. I need to install them and compare to the $30 each LED lights I currently have.

I'll put two of them on the rear (under the body) and I may put one or two behind the slots on the bottom of my front bumper. This would be for a lighting effect only.

Very impressed with them so far. More information and pictures to come!
