I know alot of guys on here are into hunting and Guns ( me included) But I am also a big fan of Blades mostly tactical knifes and Toma hawks. This is my over all favorite knife I have hundreds and I only use this one it is a Ontario 499 also known as the legendary pilot survival knife. I will get a pic of mine soon .Here is what it looks like.

But I really want one of these hopefully I can get one soon.
It is a RMJ Tactical Tomahawk carried by special ops and other military.

Yeah that happens to me on more than one of my posts. I see the viewed count increase but no comments. Occasionally I'll get a "pity" comment. I just keep writting them though. :smiley-laughing021:

I bought a KBAR 12" fighting knife a few years ago. I was disappointed to find out that it was illegal for me to carry anywhere so now the wife uses it to cut up meat. It's one nice sharp a$$ knife!

I thought from the title you were commenting on windshield wiper blades so I had nothing to say. But now that I have seen the actual content, well I also love edged weapons. I have many knives and blades but as yet no Tomahawk. There were a few guys that carried those when I was in Nam but I could not tell you who made them or how many carried them.

these are the two i usually have on me.. a Spyderco and an SOG. also have Boker, CRKT, Buck, another SOG, and Case knives that i occasionally carry.

And i also have quite a few fixed blades in the jeep.. think i got a CRKT, Glock, Ka-Bar, some double-edged boot knife, and some expensive diving knife.

I bought my daughter, 15, one of these...

http://willsworkbench.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/crowbar1.jpg

She calls it Charley.

I got it for her because she had to create a paper mache animal at school, so she made one of these...

Once she was done with it, she gave it to me.

Nothing 12 inches long. 4 or 5 inches I think is okay, at least that's what I carry daily.

My Jeep has an axe in it and I use it when camping and to clear brush. So I guess I carry it where I drive everyday.

I always carry my Benchmade 9100 on me whether I am in uniform or in civies... I also have a Benchmade 9052BK that stays in my Jeep as well as one that stays in the wife's Ram 1500.. For larger knives I carry a Benchmade Nimravus which is probably not the most legal knife to be carrying in my vehicle... but I guaruntee no one will make off with my Jeep while I have anything to say about it... I have quite a few other knives in my collection which I will throw on here and get some pics of my collection once I get back stateside in Dec.

Well it looks like I no longer will be carrying the 9100 on me... well at least not until I can get back stateside to grab my other one I have... someone decided to liberate me of the one that I have been carying every day for the last five years... bastards... oh well guess you can't have anything nice these days...

OK... it won't let me edit my above post... so I have to make a new one... The above missing knife... that I knew had gotten caught when I was walking through the land gear doing an inspection the other day.... and I figured someone saw it on the ground and decided to liberate me of ownership... I found late last night still clipped to the land gear door where it had been yanked off my pants... I was very relieved to see that my almost $300 knife had not been stolen and I have it back... and that it had stayed clipped on the door for four flights of the plane... won't try my luck like that again... expensive knife will be on its way home, and I will stick with carrying my cheaper knife for the remainder of this deployment... or make a lanyard for my expensive knife before I start carrying it again..

I've carried my Leatherman C305 everyday for the last 3 or 4 years, it's saved my bacon more than once.

Also keep these in my xj. The first one is a Paul Bunyan knife with a 6" blade I got at a yard sale, I've never used it, but I thought it would make a decent hatchet in a pinch. The second one I got years ago from my folks, I don't know where it came from, or what kind of knife it is, but I've always carried it in every xj I've owned. It has a 13" blade, and comes with a 4" smaller knife also.

Those are all very nice knives.. I think the 13" blade might cause an issue if you ever get pulled over and they find it. That is the only reason I can't carry too long of a knife, is because going on base they do random searches... and I have already been harrassed for my Close Quarters Combat Knife... that was issued to me by an Army unit I worked with on one deployment... that was the only reason they didn't confiscate it from me... they just told me to leave it at home until I was deploying, then I could have it with my gear... yeah... its still in my XJ... where it will stay, until I find a suitable substitute.

When my daughter starts driving I wonder what a cop would think if he pulled her over and a 16 yr old girl had more weapons with her than he does.

Cop: "Ma'am do you have any weapons in your vehicle?"
Daughter: "Yes, a bo staff, camas, escrima stick, nunchucks, knives, and a sword."

:smiley-laughing021:

My daughter will be testing for her black belt next year.

After I read your post I thought about I thought about it, and it probably isn't such a hot idea lol. So I took out the big one and just carry Bunyan knife now.

I have a nice 12"(?) K-Bar knife that I really love, but found out a few years ago in my CHL class that I can't carry it. If I do and get caught with it I could loose my CHL, oh and go to jail.

I have a pocket knife that clips to the inside of my front pocket. I'm not sure that it is legal, but I think it's close. It's plenty long enough to use as a defense weapon plus it's a lot easier to carry than a 12" knife!

"Zombieland" was okay but it needed more zombies and ZERO Bill Murray.

Yeah I find that my pocket knives that I always have on my person would work quite well for defense.. not to mention the additional ones carried in my vehicles... never know when you might need one, or two or three... I also think I will be removing my Nimravus from my Jeep when I get back stateside, so I don't have any issues with the police if I get pulled over, or searched on base.. not really worth it... not to mention not worth taking a chance of lossing a $300+ knife... that some cop will probably add to his/her personal collection after they take it from me.

Don't get me wrong. I like Bill Murray, but in that movie? How about 2 minutes of screen time and move on?

Heh heh, when the Zombies start coming back to life, all you non-believers will be banging on our doors asking for help!:smiley-whacky084:

I have a knife collection of sorts.

I seem to like Buck knives, since I have many of them.

I have been carrying a knife pretty much every day since I was 17.

I have some axes, but none are purpose built weapons.

Not that I wouldn't mind having one.

The majority of my knife collection is pocket knives, but I do have quite a few larger ones... some that are Close quarters combat knives issued to me during deployments, and some are just larger knives for show... my collection will continue to grow that is for sure...
