I would give them a call and request a replacement.

i got it from RON @ 4wheelplus , and if i do ask for a replacement should i ask for a whole new DS?
and would i go though him or tom woods ?

I would just contact Ron and ask him. Hopefully the replacement shaft can be ordered and coming here while you are taking yours out. If it is the ball, it cannot be fixed without welding a new one on.

You might save a little time checking with Tom Wood first to see if the lack of lube for 20 miles is a problem. It may not be.

I hear good things about Tom Woods time and time again. Things are going to happen it's how a company deals with the issue(s) that make difference to me.

This is why I deal with my local driveline shop. All spicer parts, cheaper than Tom Woods, and 20 min. away if I have an issue.
