Well after several hours (this weekend) of getting peg board up, and tools put on said peg board, I decided it was time to actually do something with the tools.

I made the front license plate holder. I had all the stuff, just had to do it.

Using a pair of Mag Lite flashlight holders I attached them to the back of some spare diamond plate that I had. I cut the diamond plate so that it had a 1" border around the license plate. Drilled some holes and attached the plate and the Mag Lite clips. Then I took some cable that I had purchased this weekend so that if the license plate holder was to come off, or I needed to use the winch, it would just hang there until I popped it back on the fairlead rollers.

Here is the rear license plate holder I made several months ago...

I just noticed that I took the picture of the rear license plate before I put a rubber border around it. I wanted to protect myself, and family, from the sharp edges of the aluminum diamond plate. I'll be doing the same thing to the front. Basically its just some vacuum hose that I cut one side then press around the outside of the diamond plate edge.

Personally I'd rather see the winch, but Texas state law requires front and rear license plates. Plus I never get to see the winch anyway! rofl

Muddy

I did that same thing with the mag light brackets. Then someone decided he needed it more than me. I then bought one on hinges so it would not come unattached.

Those plastic mag light holders don't hold up well in the Texas sun Muddy. I found some metal ones at a Janitor supply for holding a mop on the wall. Gonna try them to see if they will stay on the winch fairlead rollers longer. That cable leash is a great idea.
