was sad about the boy,was about the 5th drowning down there in 4 years or so, they are putting sighs up about the danger..... about the rollover, driver told me had just pick truck up from 4wd shop that day, had just had lift plus body lift plus 35s put on..think they are deestone cobras, they looked the biz anyway..heres my thoughts on the shop that done the work, shouldnt have gone down that path with a 4wd with a ifs front end, not that high anyway..torrsion bars would have been tweaked right up , suspension wouldnt work how it should.. i know when i took my jeep into the shop i go to they had ideas, but they also wanted to put safety 1st..some shops its all about the money.... we have a lot of lifted 4wds down here, some wouldnt be worth :pee: even if they were on fire...side wind would knock em over....:smiley-laughing021:

Saw a lifted Toy PU the other day. Sky high and 44" swampers. Looked good until you looked underneath. No front drive line. That seem to be the defining thing about lift kit height. Can you hook up the drivelines. Saw an XJ awhile back with the same situation for sale

I saw a beautiful long wheel base chevy for sale on craigslist. Really up high, but same situation. He even said that the buyer would have to solve the 4x4 problem with a different axle set up.

Just because somebody sells a lift kit, doesn't mean it is a good idea. I have seen 10" lifts for XJs too, but I think the front driveline will not hook up
