Hi everybody. I just bought my 2001 XJ last week. It has a 4" Fabtech lift. Both front springs have 3 spacers a piece in them. I don't know why, and the front looks a little lower than the back. So, one of the first things I'm going to do is replace the front springs.

It had all the lights and signals blacked out except the head lights, and strobe lights in all the turn signals and driving lights. The previous owner was a volunteer fire fighter.

I installed my CB and antenna in it yesterday. Some future plans include new front and rear bumpers. Fender flares. and a full top cargo rack. And I'm tossing around the idea of on board air.

People keep asking me if I've taken it off road... Technically, no. But the road to the east of my house has been grated down to nothing. So it's just mud. lol So I say yes.

Good idea on replacing the springs. I remember I used that spacer trick to raise the front of my old 2WD Chevy Scottsdale. Made it look more off road.

Yeah if those are 32" tires it looks like a 4" lift.

Welcome to the site!

I thought it was 15. lol well, I guess on my list of mods now includes a mod chip to try to get more MPH, and what ever else I can find to give it better performance. It's only money. Everybody seems to want it, so I might as well give it to my XJ. :D

Here are some pictures of my CB install.

It took awhile to figure out where to mount it and I really didn't want to take any more space from the passenger, but I think Im satisfied with it there. It's been peaked and super tuned with the deadkey taken out. It's a bigger CB that I used in my big rig when I was an over the road truck driver.

And here is the browning antenna that is mounted with a HUGE magnet mount that lets me talk up to around 25 miles. Now I have to find a way to lay it down for the trails without having to take it on and off. :driving:
