Sweet little 4x4 for your son there...It should make for a good learning curve on modding and wheeling...Cool...Tell him to always think safely when working on it as well as driving...

that is a very good statement - it is crazy how many people grab a grinder or sawzall and dont put on safty glasses or jack up their rig and dont use jackstands ALLWAYS remember safty first

cantab27
02-12-2010, 06:16 PM
safety will be 1st thing he learns, be it mods or driving it...hes a good lad, hes had dirt bikes since he was 5, and safety was all ways number one around thoses things..... just glad he didnt want a ricer boy racer pos...

ok then, driving down the road and she just died, got there and winds over but no go.... when you turn key on this thing you can hear the fuel pump kinda doing its thing, couldnt here it so got a mate and towed it home, tried to tow start but no go...anyway get home (was only 10mins up the road ) turn key and it fired right up and can hear pump doing its thing????????...somthing loose , wire maybe... wife has informed me she run it out of gas last week, might have pull some shit up from empty tank ???? thoughts??? cheers:thumbsup:

4.3LXJ
05-08-2010, 08:18 PM
Oh man, I hate those intermittent problems. I would suspect though that you might have a loose connection of some kind to the fuel pump which will be hard to find since it works now. Were you in water (you never do this I understand :D)?

Hey, nothing wrong with a little bit of sound... just got to teach him to be courteous and not turn it up too loud, until he is away from the neighborhood... that way other neighbors down the road somewhere else can complain all they want to whoever... and your closer neighbors are back to being happy and liking you again.. LOL... It is def. looking good... and at least he did do the wiring himself... that is how it all started for me,w as wiring people's stereo systems in when I was 12, and from then on I started to learn to do more and more on people's vehicles and that allows me to be a bit more useful on my own vehicles, and save myself some money where I can...

It took a pretty major accident for me to smarten up enough to learn to slow down. Hopefully for your lad this is enough for him to consider the worst of what could happen. I hope it doesn't scare him away from the fun side of the automotive world either :D

Too bad about the boy, but you got most of the money back anyway. Looks like that paint is a little thick there in that last pic. A little bondo maybe?

sad to hear the boy turned ricer. But maybe he'll out grow that silly phase sooner than later.

Yup, ricer is a bad decision in your area. He is gonna be walking to some places.
